We’re a Houston-owned kitchen project studio in Kingwood. We help homeowners improve kitchens worth keeping through cabinet painting, staining, refacing, countertops, hardware, and selected modifications.
We plan around what is worth keeping.
Sound cabinet boxes may need a new sprayed finish, a wood-tone correction, or a different door profile. The surrounding kitchen may also need stone, hardware, or a carefully built modification. We start with the condition of what is there, then recommend only the scope the room can support.
We don’t have a sales floor and we don’t force every kitchen into the same service. We take fewer projects at a time so measurements, samples, sequencing, installation, and the written handoff receive the attention they require.
Keep what’s still good. Replace only what’s necessary. Most kitchens don’t need to be torn out — they need to be finished properly.
ColorUp was founded in the Houston area and is based in Kingwood. We serve homeowners across Greater Houston while keeping the work focused. Each project’s accepted documents identify the scope, schedule, and warranty that apply.
Alexandre
Alexandre trained on European-import millwork before starting ColorUp out of a one-bay shop in Kingwood — borrowed compressor, one helper, and a conviction that most kitchens don’t need to be torn out. They need to be finished properly.
Four years later, ColorUp runs out of a Kingwood studio with the same standard: keep what’s still good, replace what’s necessary. Every door passes through Alexandre’s hands before it leaves the shop. If a finish isn’t right, it doesn’t go in your kitchen.

We spray Renner Italia 2K wood coatings — the same lacquer system used on European cabinet manufacturing lines. Sprayed AAA airless, three coats, with cure and care instructions matched to the selected finish at handoff.
In your home. Clearly coordinated.
Doors come off for shop finishing while cabinet boxes are protected and finished in place. Reinstallation timing and kitchen-use guidance are confirmed for the actual project and coating system.
Written warranty terms for the approved scope.
Signed by the owner who measured the room. If the finish fails because of our process — chip, peel, adhesion failure under normal residential use — we make it right under the written warranty. Exclusions and process are documented in the signed proposal.
