One written scope, one confirmed schedule, one team. Typical cabinet painting takes three to five days; the schedule is confirmed after the approved preparation, finish, and in-home sequence are reviewed. If site conditions require a change, we pause and document it before added work proceeds.

Doors are typically shop-finished at our production shop on horizontal racks, in a controlled spray environment. High-build primer and Renner Italia wood coating topcoat, sprayed air-assisted airless. Boxes sprayed in place with the same system.

Doors come back hung and adjusted to the approved scope. At handoff, we explain when to resume normal kitchen use and how to care for the selected finish while it continues to cure.
Renner Italia: 1K standard, 2K upgrade.
The 2K upgrade is the same two-component polyurethane lacquer used on European cabinet manufacturing lines. Not regular paint — a hardened sprayed finish made for kitchen cabinets. Harder than acrylic latex, more flexible than standard 1K lacquer, and resistant to oil mist, dishwater, and the small daily abrasions that wear paint thin over a decade.
Sprayed air-assisted airless on horizontal racks in a controlled environment: high-build primer and topcoat. The selected coating cures chemically, and the project handoff explains normal use, early care, and the full-cure period for that system.
Range covers a typical 25–40-door kitchen, doors and boxes inclusive, in any color from the finish library, with a written limited warranty (one year with a 1K paint system, three years with a 2K paint system) as described in our warranty policy. Larger kitchens, two-tone work, and added refacing are quoted separately and itemized on the proposal.

How long am I without a working kitchen?
Typical cabinet painting takes three to five days. Cabinet boxes stay in place while doors and drawer fronts are tracked for shop finishing. The written schedule identifies the in-home work, reinstallation, and any limits on kitchen use — confirmed after preparation, finish, and site conditions are reviewed.
Will the finish chip or peel like other painted cabinets?
ColorUp’s standard is Renner Italia 1K; the optional 2K upgrade is a chemical-cure polyurethane lacquer. Neither is a wall paint. It’s built for daily kitchen use. Cabinet painting with a 1K paint system carries a one-year limited warranty, and a 2K paint system carries a three-year limited warranty. All other work carries a one-year limited labor warranty, which covers labor only; doors, hinges, countertops, drawer slides, and modifications carry no product warranty, and countertop installation carries a one-year limited labor warranty. Do you do any color, or only the ones in the library?
Start with the finish library or share a manufacturer color reference. We confirm compatibility, sheen, sample approval, and any matching limitations before the color becomes part of the written scope.
What about the smell? Will the kitchen be livable?
Doors and drawer fronts are finished in our shop; cabinet boxes may be finished on site with containment and ventilation appropriate to the approved coating. We explain access and ventilation expectations before work begins.
Can you paint the cabinets without replacing my countertops?
Yes. When the existing countertops are staying, we protect them throughout preparation and installation. We also check the color, sheen, caulk lines, and nearby finishes together so the painted cabinets still feel intentional in the existing kitchen.
