Warranty Care

Built to last. Cared for correctly.

Your cabinet finish is made for daily kitchen use, but care still matters. We’ll walk you through cleaning, cure time, water exposure, impact damage, and what to do if something needs attention.

What We Stand Behind.

Every project includes a written warranty: one year limited with a 1K paint system, three years with a 2K paint system, and a one-year limited labor warranty on other work. ColorUp warranties are not transferable to a new owner. Report an issue within a reasonable time of noticing it. Coverage, exclusions, notice requirements, and the service process are stated in the accepted proposal and attached Warranty Policy. Those documents control over this page. For a readable summary of the current terms, see our cabinet warranty guide.

Simple Care.

  • Wipe with a soft cloth and a mild dish-soap solution. Dry after.
  • Skip abrasive pads, scouring powders, magic erasers, and bleach-based cleaners on the finish.
  • Rinse spills off promptly — especially around the sink, dishwasher, and trash pull-out.

While the Finish Continues to Cure.

Dry-to-touch, ready for normal use, and fully developed performance are different milestones. Water-based 1K and 2K products have project-specific handling and cure guidance. Follow the maintenance guide and ColorUp Finish Record supplied for your selected system, and use the finish gently during the early-care period.

What Cabinet Finishes Are Not Designed For.

  • Sustained water exposure (a leaking dishwasher, a long-term drip under the sink).
  • Impact damage — dropped cookware, hammers, child play, hardware reinstalled with the wrong screws.
  • Abrasive cleaners and chemical strippers.
  • Substrate movement caused by extreme humidity swings or structural changes in the home.

If Something Needs Attention.

Email a full-area photo, a close view, and a short description to info@colorupcabinets.com with “Warranty Claim” in the subject line. Include when you first noticed it and what contacted the surface. We will follow the notice and inspection process in your written warranty.

Keep the Handoff Together.

Store your maintenance guide, written warranty, labeled touch-up material, touch-up process, and ColorUp Finish Record together. The record identifies the approved color, sheen, and coating system for future care.

A care guide comes after every service. For the first weeks, see caring for newly refinished cabinets.

Coverage is confirmed after review under the written policy.
